The hub’s flowers are available for a variety of customers, from florists making floral arrangements, retail owners hoping to sell flower bouquets at their store, and restaurant owners who want some flowers for their tables.
Through the flower hub’s partnership with Region Roots, florists and other local businesses can order flowers online — the hub offers a variety of different types of flowers and options like buckets of flower bunches or premade floral arrangements such as bouquets or table centerpieces.

About the Flower Hub
Formed in 2023, the Northwest Indiana Flower Hub is a collection of local flower growers committed to providing fresh, high quality blooms to local florists and customers in the area. The Hub comprises Coburg Flower Depot, Green Trail Farm, Heritage Flowers, Hickory Hills Flower Farm, Rainfield Farm, and Twine Flower Farm. These farms are located across NWI in Valparaiso, LaPorte, Chesterton, and New Carlisle. The goal of the Hub is to connect local farms with ethically-minded buyers and connect local customers with sustainably grown, seasonal, freshly picked flowers.
The Sustainable Option
The commercial flower industry depends heavily on shipping flowers thousands of miles, producing high greenhouse gas emissions and decreasing the lifetime of the flowers in the customers’ hands. This impact, along with toxic herbicides and pesticides used in the industry, takes a toll on the planet. This is why local flowers are so important and why the Hub strives to make these small farms accessible to florists who need large amounts of flowers and want to choose a more sustainable option.
